எங்கள் வீட்டில் காஸ் சிலிண்டர் பதிந்து இருந்தோம். ஒரு மாதம் போனிலும் நேரிலும் சென்று விசாரித்த பிறகு வீட்டிற்கு சிலிண்டர் வந்தது. பிறகுதான் காரணம் புரிந்தது. ஒரு முறை அவர்கள் 25 ரூபாய் "டிப்ஸ்" குடுக்கவில்லை என்றால் அடுத்த முறை எப்படி உங்களுக்கு சிலிண்டர் வருகிறது என்று பார்க்கிறேன் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு சென்ற பொழுது நாங்கள் வலை தளத்தில் புகார் செய்திருந்தோம். அன்று இரவே அவர் வந்து அந்த 25 ரூபாய் திருப்பி கொடுத்துவிட்டு சென்றார். ஆனால் அதை மனதில் வைத்து கொண்டு ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் பத்து இருபது நாள் கழித்து நாங்கள் பலமுறை அவர்களை அழைத்த பிறகு வந்து தருவார்கள்.

இந்த முறை வேறு ஒருவர் வந்தார். பாஸ்புக் இருந்தால்தான் சிலிண்டர் கொடுப்போம் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு திரும்பி சென்று விட்டார். நாங்கள் அன்றே சென்று 45 ரூபாய் கொடுத்து பாஸ்புக் வாங்கி வந்தோம். அதில் 25 என்று குறிப்பிடபட்டு இருந்தது வேறு விஷயம்.

ஒரு வாரம் கழித்து அதே நபர் சிலிண்டர் எடுத்து கொண்டு வந்தார். பில் தொகை 393 ரூபாய். நாங்கள் 500 ரூபாய் கொடுத்தோம். 20 ரூபாய் கொடுங்கள் என்று கேட்டார், கொடுத்தோம். 100 ரூபாய் திருப்பி கொடுத்தார். 27 ரூபாய் எதற்கு என்று கேட்டதற்கு "சர்வீஸ் சார்ஜ்" என்று சொன்னார். அதற்கு ரசீது கொடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னதற்கு, நாங்கள் 15 கி.மி. தூரத்தில் இருந்து வெயில் மழையில் வந்து சிலிண்டர் போட்டு விட்டு செல்கிறோம். அதுற்கு "டிப்ஸ்" கொடுக்க மாட்டீர்களா? உங்களால் 25 ரூபாய் கொடுக்க முடியாது என்றால், இனிமேல் நீங்களே வந்து எங்கள் குடோனில் இருந்து எடுத்து கொள்ளுங்கள் என்று சொலிவிட்டு சென்று விட்டார்.

"டிப்ஸ்" தருவது பற்றி எங்களுக்கு விருப்பம் இல்லாமல் இல்லை. ஆனால் மிரட்டி கேட்கும் பொழுது கொடுக்க கூடாது என்று முடிவு செய்தோம். எரிவாயு ஒரு அத்தியாவசிய பொருள் என்ற காரணத்தினால் இப்படி மிரட்டி லாபம் அடைய பார்கிறார்கள். இந்த மாதிரி மிரட்டி சம்பாதித்தால் உடம்பில் ஒட்டுமா என்பது சந்தேகமே. எப்பொழுது இவர்கள் உணர்வார்களோ?

முதலில் மனிப்பு கேட்டு கொள்கிறேன். வேலை பளு அதிகம் இருந்ததால் தொடர்ந்து எழுத முடியாமல் போய்விட்டது. இனிமேல் முடிந்த அளவு எழுத முயற்சிக்கிறேன்.

என்னுடைய நண்பனுக்கு அந்த சிலிண்டர் கடைசி வரை கிடைக்கவே இல்லை. ஒரு நாள் விடுப்பு எடுத்துக்கொண்டு சென்னை வந்து அந்த "பேக்கர்ஸ் அண்ட் மூவேர்ஸ்" இருந்த முகவரிக்கே சென்றான். அங்கு அதிர்ச்சி. அப்படி ஒரு கம்பனியே அந்த முகவரியில் இல்லை. பிறகு அதே கைபேசி எண்ணில் தொடர்பு கொண்ட பொழுது அதே நபர் பேசி இருக்கிறான். என்னுடைய நண்பன் அவர்களுடைய முகவரியை கேட்டவுடன் இணைப்பை துண்டித்து விட்டான். பிறகு வேறு ஒரு தொலைபெசியில் இருந்து இவனுடைய நண்பனை பேச வைத்திருக்கிறான். அந்த நபர், நீங்கள் எத்தனை முறை முயற்சி செய்தாலும் அந்த சிலிண்டர் உங்களுக்கு கிடைக்காது. தயவு செய்து இன்னொரு முறை இந்த எண்ணில் அழைக்காதீர்கள் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு தொடர்பை துண்டித்து விட்டானாம். யார் மீது வழக்கு தொடுப்பது என்று கூட தெரியாத அளவுக்கு ஏமாற்ற பட்டு இருக்கிறான் என்னுடைய நண்பன்.

"பேக்கர்ஸ் அண்ட் மூவேர்ஸ்" உதவியை நாடும் பொழுது உண்மையில் அவர்களக்கு ஒரு அலுவலகம் இருக்கிறதா என்று உறுதி செய்து கொண்டு பிறகே வேலையை ஒப்படையுங்கள்.

உனக்கு ஹிந்தி தெரியுமா. இப்படி இப்படி கேட்டான் ஒரு நண்பன் (பெயர் வெளியிட வேண்டாம் என்று சொல்லிவிட்டான்). தெரியும் என்ன விஷயம் என்று கேட்டேன். இன்று ஒரு பிரச்சனை, சம்பந்தபட்ட ஆள் ஹிந்தியில் மட்டுமே பேசுகிறான். பேசி என்ன விஷயம் என்று கேட்டு சொல்லு என்றான்.

விஷயம் இதுதான்

என்று என் நண்பன் சென்னையில் இருந்து பெங்களுருவுக்கு இடம் பெயர்ந்து இருக்கிறான். உடமைகளை இடம் பெயர்ப்பதற்கு "அகர்வால் பாக்கெர்ஸ் & மூவர்ஸ்" அணுகி இருக்கிறான். நேற்று இங்கு பொருட்களை வண்டியில் ஏற்றி விட்டு விட்டு இவன் பெங்களுரு சென்றுவிட்டான். இன்று காலை அங்கு வண்டி வந்து சேர்ந்தவுடன் அதிர்ச்சி. வண்டியில் GAS CYLINDER காணவில்லை. ஓட்டுனரை கேட்டதற்கு Check Postல் பிடித்து கொண்டார்கள். 10000 ரூபாய் கொடுத்தால் விட்டு விடுவதாக சொன்னார்கள், என்று கூறி இருக்கிறான்.

இவன் 45 km பயணம் செய்து Check Postல் விசாரித்திருக்கிறான். அவர்கள், இன்று அப்படி நாங்கள் யாரிடமும் பறிமுதல் செய்ய வில்லை. அப்படி செய்து இருந்தால் நாங்கள் ஒரு இரசீது குடுத்து இருப்போம் என்று கூறி இருக்கிறார்கள்.

இவன் அந்த ஓட்டுனரிடம் கேட்டல், எனக்கு தெரியாது என்று கூறி இருக்கிறான். சிறிது நேரத்தில் அந்த ஓட்டுனரின் முதலாளி இவனுடன் பேசி இருக்கிறார். இனிமேல் எங்களுடைய ஓட்டுனரை அழைத்து தொந்தரவு செயாதீர்கள். அகர்வால் கம்பெனியில் என்ன சொல்ல சொனர்களோ அதை சொல்லிவிடோம். இனிமேல் பேச வேண்டும் என்றால் நீங்க அகர்வால் கம்பெனி கார்களிடம் பேசுங்க என்று சொல்லியிருகிறார்.

இவன் அகர்வால் கம்பெனிக்கு கூபிட்டால் ஹிந்தியில் பேசியிருகிறார்கள். இவன் எனக்கு ஹிந்தி தெரியும் என்ற காரணத்தால் என்ன பேச சொல்லி அழைத்து இருக்கிறான். உங்களுக்கு Cylinder கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றால் நாங்கள் நஷ்ட ஈடு 1000 ரூபாய் குடுக்கிறோம் என்று சொல்லியிருகிறார்கள்.

நானும் பேசினேன். எனிடமும் அதே கதையை சொன்னார்கள். பிறகு நாளை காலை வரை நேரம் குடுங்கள், நாங்கள் விசாரித்து கண்டுபிடுத்து குடுக்கிறோம் என்று சொல்லியிருகிறார்கள்.

நாளை என்ன நடக்கிறது. பொறுத்திருந்து பார்போம்.

PSPB Millenium Guindy

Missed the dates when the application was distributed. When contacted, we got a reply saying the applications were distributed the previous week and now they are collecting the filled applications. The tension started since one school was missed!!

DAV Velachery

Called the school and got update that the application would be distributed in the month of March and we need to keep watch on the newpapers for Announcement.

BVM Global

The big fish. We waited for this more than other. The announcement was put up on the website that the applications would be distributed on the March 2nd. I visited the school campus at 09:30 AM and found that the queue was running accross streets. Thinking to join the queue after having a heavy breakfast (may have to stand in the queue till afternoon!) went to the hotel. When I am after breakfast, there was no one except the people distributing the application. Don't know how the queue went fast in such pace! Lucky! Got the application at 10:00AM. The filled application was submitted in the next week and the results await!

Imp Note : Got updates that it is the best school in Adyar!

MARG Play School

Walkable from home. Cheapest among the schools we approached. Rs. 1000 per month!! When I went to enquire, I was forced to pull information by questioning them and was different when compared to other schools, where they explained the offerings.

Tatva Pre-School

IIT is beind this school! Yes. it is run by IIT alumnis and that reflected in the approach when we visited them. The reception was neat and we were presented with the offerings of the school. In fact we learned a lot of attributes which should look for, in shortlisting the schools.

Navadisha

Saw the website and visited the school after reading the positive comments in the Parantree and ChennaiMoms forums. We got a reply that the admissions are closed. When we came to vehicles parking, we have been called to office room upstairs and handed over the application form. Paid Rs. 500/- towards application form. Submitted the filed in applications the next week and waiting starts for the results in the month of Feb 2011.

San Academy

After reading the feedbacks in the forums, visited the school to enquire. Hereto we were not presented with the details. With the experience from Tatva, i shooted the questions and collected the info. Mostly the same curriculum when compared to other schools. The only difference is the students teacher ratio and the environment. The building is very huge and the kids will not feel at home, atleast for the Nursery section. Mostly the pre-schools score in this point, which this fails.

Visited Kidzee on the way after visiting Tatva. The curriculum, approach and fee structure are same when compared to Tatva. But the environment did not please. Failed to qualify for the quarters.

Seed Pre-School

Almost after deciding to go ahead with Tatva, came to know about this school. Visited the website and tried to contact the school. Nobody picked the phone and that gave a bad impression. Next day thought of visiting the school and did the same. It made me rethink and impression was excellent. All the attributes for a Pre-School is here and very much pleased with their approach.

Near our residence and visited on the way to office. Nothing positive to mention except the fees which is Rs.2000/- month. This is the only info. I received and was asked to bring the Kid to discuss further.

The much awaited result was published and the school is not lucky to have Anirudh as student!! We should start trying next year, if we can get KG seats. Failed to make to the finals!

Seed Pre-School vs Navadisha

Received a regret email from Navadisha. It said Anirudh was not selected in the lot. We represented a legal notice to the school asking for why we were not invited for the Lot, as we have paid Rs. 500/- towards application. In contrast, BVM did not charge for application and here we cannot question the lot system as we feel it is genuine. But we got a reply from the administration that the lot was conducted in front of eminent people in the area and no cheating involved.

Seed makes to the final automatically.

Here we started comparing the offerings.

Filled the admission form by paying Rs. 11500 on 17th Mar 2011. The big tournament comes to an end.
